This statement sets out the approach taken by Box 4 Digital Group Ltd (T/A Transport Companies UK) to modern slavery and human trafficking. Although we are below the turnover threshold for a mandatory statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we publish this voluntarily because ethical business conduct matters in every supply chain.
1. About our business
Transport Companies UK is a digital platform that connects customers with UK transport and logistics companies, customers, training providers and related service providers. We operate from the United Kingdom and our direct supply chain is small.
2. Our commitment
We do not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, or human trafficking in our business or supply chains. We expect suppliers, contractors, members and partners to act lawfully and professionally.
3. Our people
We aim to work with people fairly and respectfully. We expect appropriate right-to-work checks, lawful working arrangements, fair treatment and the ability for concerns to be raised without retaliation.
4. Our supply chain
Our suppliers are mainly technology, hosting, payment, email, analytics and professional-services providers. We consider the risk in this direct supply chain to be relatively low, but we remain alert to concerns and would review relationships where credible issues arise.
5. Platform members
We do not employ or control the transport and logistics companies listed on the Platform and are not party to contracts formed between customers and providers. However, our Terms require lawful and professional conduct, and we may remove or restrict accounts where we become aware of unlawful behaviour.
6. Due diligence
We take a proportionate, risk-based approach. We prefer reputable suppliers, expect compliance with applicable law, investigate credible concerns and review this statement as the business grows.
7. Raising concerns
Concerns about modern slavery connected with our business or Platform can be raised confidentially by emailing info@transportcompanies.co.uk. We will treat reports seriously and take appropriate action.
8. Responsibility
Responsibility for this statement sits with the directors of Box 4 Digital Group Ltd. The statement will be reviewed periodically and updated where needed.
